Guadalupe Reyes, age 90, passed away December 22, 2018 in Irving, TX. She was born on November 13, 1928 in Cameron, TX to Juan Jose Reyes & Maria P Reyes. Guadalupe was raised in Cameron, TX and later in Temple, TX. She graduated from Temple High School & Temple College school of Nursing in 1949.
Guadalupe had a love for dancing and was a natural. She mastered all different kinds of dancing from flamenco, polka, american jitterbug, cumbias, and boleros. Music was a passion. She would light up whenever she heard her favorite songs. Guadalupe loved beautiful flowers and gardening. Growing the flowers and greenery that she loved, blessed her with a beautiful yard, admired by neighbors and friends.
A young girl, sister, aunt, cousin who blossomed into a wise woman, becoming our beloved mother, grandmother, and great great grandmother.
Whether homemade meals of tamales y pan dulce or a cup of cafe con leche, all who joined her could sit and talk awhile as she so enjoyed cooking. Guadalupe also topped off those meals with sprinkles of wisdom from a beautiful and vibrant life.
She is preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters. She is survived by: Children, Johnny & Angelica (daughter) Moreno, Glen & Mary (daughter) Thomason; Juvenal & Mary Joe (daughter) Gutierrez; Samuel & Sylvia(daughter) Santillan; Dean & Connie(daughter) Santillan; Joe Angel Dominguez; Sister, Juanita Gomez of Temple, TX; 16 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren & 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
