Guadalupe Martinez Vasquez

Guadalupe Martinez Vasquez, 85, of Mesquite, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2025. Born in Asherton, Texas, on April 5, 1940, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She married the love of her life, Felix Vasquez, on January 27, 1967, and together they shared 56 beautiful years of marriage. Guadalupe was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy and lived her life grounded in faith, compassion, and service to others.

Guadalupe was the heart of her family—a kind, loving, and strong woman who found her greatest joy in being surrounded by her loved ones. She adored being a mother and deeply cherished her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. She loved cooking big meals, relaxing with a cup of hot coffee, and simply being present with her family. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and wisdom touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.

She is survived by her children, Felix Jr., Ray, Daniel, Sylvia, and Diana; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; her sister Josephine; brother Jesse; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Felix, her parents Ladislado and Francisca Martinez, her siblings Victor, Domingo, Cruz, Juan, Juan Chico, and Candelaria, and her grandchildren Marcus and Rayshell Vasquez.

Guadalupe leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, faith, and strength. Though she will be dearly missed, her memory will live on in the lives of those she loved, the lessons she taught, and the prayers she prayed. She has now entered eternal rest and is reunited with her Savior and her loved ones in Heaven.

A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Road, Dallas, TX 75218. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 16, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 10501 Garland Road, Dallas, TX 75218. An interment will occur Friday, May 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
