
Helen graduated Cum Laude in 1941 from Woodrow Wilson High School. She also attended Dallas College of SMU. On June 10, 1941 she was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she held several different management positions. She retired in December 1986 with forty -five- and one-half years of service. At the time of retirement, she was an Internal Auditor.
She was a member of the Daughters of Penelope where she served in many Chapter offices, including President, several times. She also served on the District Scholarship Committee of the Order of the AHEPA. She served on the Supervisory Committee of the Dallas Telco Credit Union for many years.
Helen's Mother and Father were of great influence in her life where she received the most pleasure-her Greek customs, friends and organizations brought her the most joy in her life. She also enjoyed traveling, the stock market and mostly the National AHEPA Organization functions, they were great!
She was preceded in death by her Father, Frank Pappas Sr., Mother Georgia Hriskos Pappas, Uncle Gus Pappas, Brothers, Harry, George and Frank Pappas Jr., Sisters Christine Pappas Andres and Julia Pappas Theo.
She is survived by nieces and nephews Georgia Pappas Apostolou, Gus Pappas, Frank Richard Pappas, Dr. Lynn Pappas Lee, John Theo II, Helen Celeste Theo Smith, Mary Helene Duncan, Dr. Frank Andres, James S. Andres and Julia Andres Wolf.
She also survived by grand nieces and nephews, John Bryan, Lisa Bryan Horiates, Allison Pappas, Caroline Pappas, Tim Duncan (deceased), Chris Pappas, Nicole Pappas Bayless, Jennifer Pappas McGarity.
Helen will be remembered for her loving care of her family.
Funeral services were private at Helen's request.
