A longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Our Ladies Altar Society was born November 4, 1921 in Dallas and died at age 90 on February 24, 2012. Preceded in death by husband of 52 years, George V. Schnitzius. Survived by children and their spouses, Elaine Shumate (Robert), Nancy Cole (Jim), Judy Brockmeyer (Bob), Dan Schnitzius (Charlene), Steve Schnitzius (Lynda) and Greg Schnitzius (Rhonda); Grandchildren, Brian Shumate (Priscilla), Scott Schnitzius (Veronica), Sherri Yewitt, Emily Steele (Kory), Shannon Trolinder (Britt), Brent Schnitzius (Kris), Regan Brockmeyer, Eric Schnitzius (Debbie), Ashley Schnitzius, Joshlyn Carmona, Joshua Carmona, Jayson Carmona and Jordon Carmona; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Jalen, Austin, Fiona and Rossi, brother, Ken Conoly (Barbara); sisters, Betty Gaffney and Linda Scrimshire (Frank). Visitation 6-8 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2012 with a rosary at 7PM at the funeral home. Funeral Mass 11AM Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 6306 Kenwood Ave. in Dallas with the Very Rev. John Libone, V.F., celebrant. Interment at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas with grandchildren serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice.
