Herbert Bernard Swirczynski

Herb was born July 20, 1928 in Muenster TX, the son of Al Swirczynski and Margaret (Horn) Swirczynski. In 1946 he moved with his family to Dallas TX. Herb married Joy Harper on December 10, 1949.

In 1946 Herb began working for Sherwin Williams. He worked there 38 years retiring in 1984. He began a second career (hobby) as a rental property owner in 1970 while still working at Sherwin Williams. He continued working with rent houses until retiring completely in 2012 at the age of 83.

Herb was a devout and long-term and faithful member of St Bernard's Catholic Church in Dallas. He was at peace as he passed from this earthly life and entered into the loving arms of God.

Herb had a positive impact on everyone lucky enough to know him. His legacy is one of loyalty and humility, humor and generosity.

Herb is survived by his son Eric and his daughter-in-law Lisa (Erb) Swirczynski. He was preceded in death by his wife Joy, his son David, his daughter Lisa, his parents Al and Margaret, and his sister Allene Doty.

A memorial service and reception will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home, located at 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas, 75228. The service is scheduled for February 10, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
