Hildegarde S. Peters

Hildegarde was born April 12, 1925 to Frederick Ferdinand and Caroline K. Loewe Scheckermann in New Jersey City, New Jersey. She graduated in 1942 from Milford CT High School. She married Raymond Peters on April 22, 1950 in Dallas, Texas at Oak Cliff Lutheran Church, where they were both members. She volunteered with the Camp Fire Girls, Sunday School Teachers, and Youth Choir Director. She was president of T W Brown Junior, High PTA and J F Kimball High School PTA each for a year. She retired from Dolco packaging as Employee Relations Manager. She moved to Sanger in 2012 and became a member of North Texas Trinity Cowboy Church. She was loved by all that met her and she returned that love. She is survived by her daughter: Loretta Cantrell, and partner David Burleson, grandchildren: Melissa Halsey and husband Kevin, Christina Williams, Heather Chambers, Kimberly, Williams, and Dustin Chambers and wife, Lindsey. Great-grandchildren: Chasity Perez, Emily Halsey, Ashton Chambers, Landon Perez, Hayden Daniels, Silas Chambers, Rhyder Lewis and Nora Chambers and great great granddaughter: Kinsley. Preceded in death were her parents, Frederick and Caroline Scheckermann, her husband: Raymond Peters and her daughter Karen Williams. Funeral will be held at North Texas Trinity Cowboy Church 9901 FM 2164 Sanger, TX 76266 on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11am. Ken Peterson will be officiating.
