Homer Earl Isham Sr.

It is with our great sorrow to announce the passing of our daddy, Homer Earl Isham Sr. He was born on May 10, 1937 in Mexia, Texas and went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2020. Homer was a loving father and raising his children was his most treasured assets. He served in the US Army in Korea. He loved driving his 18-wheeler, enjoyed going to the dirt track races, camping and watching old westerns and the Dallas Cowboys. He also loved going to near by VFWs, American Legions, cafes, singing karaoke, and listening to country music. Homer enjoyed visiting with friends and family and loved the company of his dog, George.

Homer is proceeded in death by his parents; Henry Sr. and Willie Earl Isham, his brothers, Henry Jr., Sammy Sr., and Billly Joe; and sister Betty Jean; son, Clifton Vannoy, and brother-in-laws; Jayfan Bodine Sr., James Howard Martin.

Homer is survived by children, Teresa Cobb (crickette) and husband Billy, Tema Strong and boyfriend Lonnie, Homer Jr. (Fujie), Preston,the mother of his children, Ja-nice Harris (niecee); siblings, Shirley Bodine, Geneva Martin, Dannie Ed Isham Sr. and wife Doris, Jesse Isham and wife Tonya, David Isham Sr. and wife Nancy, Carol Lynn Compton and husband Graham III; 15 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephew.
