

Honorio was born on September 30, 1952 in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to the late Hermilo Lara and the late Juana Quiroz.
Honorio married his beautiful wife, Maria Guadalupe Hinojosa on October 4, 1980 and were happily married for 25 years.
Honorio attended school in Matehuala, SLP, Mexico. He announced and played movies in nearby ranches and sold travel insurance while in Mexico.
After making the U.S. his home, he worked as a welder. He then worked for Simmons Mattress Company and later at Wonder Bread. He eventually retired from the City of Dallas for Parks and Recreation after dedicating 25 years of service.
His greatest joys were spending time with his family and friends, singing, dancing, entertaining, playing the guitar, the bajo sexto and the accordion.
He served in the church choir at St. Cecilia and at the Cursillo Center at Our Lady of Lourdes. He also played in a conjunto with his children and a family friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maria Guadalupe Lara; his sister, Aurelia Ontiveros; and his brothers Prisco Lara and Paulino Lara.
He is survived by his daughters, Belinda and Fabiola Lara; his sons, Eric and Christian Lara; and six loving grandchildren, Gabriel & Giselle Ruiz and Nicolas, Lucero, Julian & Daniel Moreno as well as many nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A visitation hour for Honorio will be held Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.
A rosary service will occur Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.
A funeral mass service will occur Monday, July 10, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1809 West Davis Street, Dallas, Texas 75208.
A committal service will occur Monday, July 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.
