Hugh C. Robertson

ROBERTSON, Hugh Cochrane, age 79, of Dallas, Texas passed away February 28, 2018. Born on May 1, 1938 in Bridgeton, Glasgow, Scotland to Angus and Mary Jane Robertson. He married Davina Rennie on March 28, 1959 and had two children, Catherine and Davina in Glasgow. In Glasgow, he was a young member of the Boys Brigade, played the flute in the Orange Order Band, worked in East Kilbride Dairy and Scottish and Newcastle Breweries until October 1965 when they moved to Dallas, Texas in America. In Dallas, Texas they had two more children, Fiona and Hugh. Hugh worked at LTV as a draftsman and at Kraft Foods for 29 years as a maintenance engineer, retiring in 2000. He was a Master Mason for 49 years, supporter of the Hella Shrine, Scottish Rite Hospital and a founding member of The Scottish Society of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Angus and Mary Jane Robertson, brothers and sister-in-laws, Peter and Patsy, Angus and Christine, niece Kirstine and his son, Hugh C Robertson II and wife of 59 years, Davina Robertson. He is survived by his daughters and sons (in law), Catherine and Jeff Rohman, Davina and Everett Hoeffner, Fiona and Sean Alpaugh. Grandchildren Cody Cochrane Barnes with significant other Reagan Harris and Grace Rennie Alpaugh. Great-grandchildren Ripley Faye Miville-Barnes and Trey Carter. Nephews and Niece, Mark, Stephen, Stuart, Alan, Scott and Diane. Cousin, John Robertson and wife Moira and their children John, Bruce and Darlene. Sister-in-law, Myra Ballantyne, Nephews, Duncan Ballantyne (Cheralyn), David Ballantyne (Toni). Great-nephew, Douglas Ballantyne and many family members living in Glasgow, Scotland.
