

Israel M. Verver, Sr., 68, was born in Dallas, Texas to Noe Verver and Amalia Molina on May 21, 1947. He entered into rest in the comfort of his home on August 4, 2015 in Dallas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 between 4PM and 8PM, with the Holy Rosary prayed at 6PM in the Calvary Hill Funeral Home chapel. Mass of Christian will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10AM in the North Chapel of Calvary Hill, with burial to follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery.
Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Israel was a passionate family man who instilled strong values in his family. He was a very involved father who often traveled to join his children’s baseball tournaments. Additionally, Israel participated in the school’s PTA as president of the association as he was an avid supporter of education. He also relished in the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Not only did Israel love his family, he also loved sports, especially baseball. Rangers games were among the many ways he loved spending time with his family.
Israel was also a devoted parishioner at the Cathedral Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he attended Mass for most of his life.
Among his accomplishments is his outstanding career of 33 years at the United Stated Postal Service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force beginning in 1966 during which he was stationed in the Philippines and other parts of the world. Israel also played the accordion from childhood.
Israel is loved and will be greatly loved by all those whose heart he touched. He is survived by his loving wife, America G. Verver; daughter, Irazema G. Verver; sons, Xavier S. Verver, Israel Verver, Jr., and Moises G. Verver; grandsons, Jacobo A. Verver, Aidan Z. Farrar; granddaughters, Mireya I. Farrar, Victoria A. Alvarez, and Nina E. Castro; 3 beautiful great-grandchildren and 1 little angel on the way; brother, Desiderio Verver. Join the Verver family in remembering and celebrating the life of Israel.
