
A devoted Texan, he went on to serve the Texas Department of Public Safety as Director of Emergency Management where he worked diligently to protect the people of the State of Texas that he loved so much. A humble leader and champion for the underserved who inspired the best in all of us, “Chief” was first and foremost a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed and forever honored for his legacy of dedication and service. Jack is survived by his wife Patricia, children Chris and Jennifer, devoted daughter-in-law Marcy and cherished grandchildren Jake and Ryleigh. Visitation will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway in Dallas from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 20. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday from 9-10 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 2020 West Wheatland Road, Dallas, TX 75232, followed by a burial at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Flowers can be sent to Sparkman Hillcrest.
