James will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering love for his family and friends, and the values he instilled in those who knew him. Whether it was sharing stories, offering wise advice, or simply being present, his impact was lasting and profound.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially time spent with his family and friends.
James is survived by his sons Brian Bishop and Dennis Bishop; daughters-in-law Debra Bishop and Jenny Bishop; and his beloved grandchildren Jacey Bishop, Madison Bishop, and Joshua Bishop.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Bishop; his mother, Katherine Bishop-Sower; his sister Betty Jean Norberg; and his stepfather, Alan Sower.
A memorial service will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home in Dallas, TX at 2PM June 20th to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to End Cancer As We Know It | American Cancer Society
