James (Jim) passed away June 11, 2022, in Dallas, TX, where he left his family, friends and newborn grandson far too soon after battling Alzheimer’s.
He will always be remembered as the most loving, generous and charismatic, friend, neighbor and colleague to all whom he encountered.
His jovial, kind and sincere temperament paved the way for the wonderful and giving spirit he brought to others. His larger than life, New York & Texas coupled personality drew everyone to him throughout his life.
After completing his Economics Degree at St. Francis College in Biddeford, Maine, Jim served in the US Navy before he embarked upon his dream of working on Wall Street. Jim spent many years on Wall Street before deciding to make Texas his home, where he ultimately retired.
Jim exemplified what family is as he participated in all aspects of his daughter, his namesake, Jamie Jo’s life and activities.
Jim is survived by his daughter Jamie Jo and son-in-law Johnnie, grandson Jon Michael, step-grandchildren Reid and Lili Boulogne, Baron and Ford Cockrell.
Jim’s service and celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 12th, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home.
