

James Burrell Mansolo was born in 1922 in Marlow, Oklahoma and went to his Heavenly home on February 22, 2012. Jim is survived by his daughter Eileen Alleman and her husband Tony, and granddaughters Angela and Katie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine, his father, James W., his mother, Mabel, and two brothers, Melton and Finis. Jim (“Burrell”) graduated from Marlow High School in 1940. He served in the US Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After the war, he attended and graduated from Landig College of Mortuary Science in 1946, after which he began an apprenticeship as a funeral director at Calloway- Smith- Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma. In 1949 he moved to Dallas, Texas and married Christine Shannon who was a musician and school teacher in the Dallas Independent School District. Soon he began a long and rewarding career at E-Systems (now Raytheon) from which he retired in 1989. Jim was a long-time member of Wynnewood Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He was always optimistic and kind, had a gift for making the best of any situation, and was loved by many. He will be dearly missed. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 28th at Sparkman Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel, with burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the DFW National Cemetery, with Reverend Joseph C.
