Jim was such a great friend to me--as well as my computer guru! We got to know each other, going to many Singles social events in the '90s. Went on a fabulous trip to Costa Rica (he actually
flew!)with small group including Denise Nieman & Betty Oliver. He wasn't a diver, but went with us on the boat 1 day & got to see a 6-pack of dolphins escort us, racing alongside @ the front of the boat, for quite a distance. Was so glad he got to experience that! It's good to have great memories of a great friend.

I was very saddened to hear of Jim's passing. I had known Jim over 20 years through the Tall Texas of Dallas--but had lost touch with him over the last several yrs.  He was a true gentleman and was always so kind to me. He lives on in our hearts and his memory still brings a smile to my face.

The two black and white pictures attached here were taken at my childhood home in Cary, NC. This was the last time I actually "saw" my cousin Jim. I'm the little girl sitting on the step beside him. I reconnected with Jim through his son, Chris, several years ago. My renewed friendship with Jim was through the mail now and then and through a couple of phone calls. Such sad news to learn of his passing. My best wishes to all Jim's family and friends.

Jim and I worked together in Madison, WI 56 years ago.  We've kept in touch throughout our IBM careers and after.  We have often joked that he was the brother I never had.  Charlene and I will both miss him a great deal.  He was a good friend, great golf companion and an all around pleasure to be with.  We're not able to be in Dallas  but our thoughts are there,

Jim will be missed so much by so many. I was just talking about how Jim taught me the progressive two step and how he made me look good but was quietly telling me the next few steps.

Many in the Tall Club remember Jim's Superman outfit which carried over
to a nickname.  Jim was super: socializing, dancing, hugs, etc with his
tall friends.  I roomed with Jim for many TCI events.  I am deeply indebted 
to him for bringing me into the 21st century with my own PC and cell phone.
Jim also got me started on golf.  We will all miss him.

Jim will always have a special place in my heart.  We made so many memories traveling, dancing, partying, attending sporting events, spending holidays together. He was a true gentleman and a wonderful friend, someone I could always count on. Even after I moved, we stayed in contact through email, becoming kindred spirits in our cancer. My heart breaks, I will miss him terribly! Till we meet again, sweetie!

Jim was a wonderful member of Tall Texans of Dallas. For many years he was our computer"expert"-helping many of us get started and helping with repairs. He generously gave of his time and talents to refurbish used computers for those who didn't have one and for needy children. He was always supportive of Tall Club events, whether for fun or charity. He will be missed by all.

Jim was special... I will miss his sense of humor, his candor, and his kindness. He was a good man, and a great friend to me and to everyone in TCI. Rest well in heaven, my dear.

Jim was a special guy and was much loved by his Tall Club friends.  Always a gentleman and a joy to take a spin around the dance floor with!  He's been missed these last several years as he was dealing with health issues.  Now he's finally at peace...  My deepest condolences to his family.

I will miss Jim's caring  presence. I knew Jim from the Dallas Tall Club and after moving, knew I could count on Jim for a welcoming hug. He always made me feel very special. Heaven has a Superman for its newest angel! Love you and will miss you, Tall Hugs,

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  Jim was a great friend of mine for over 25 years.  Jim and I had great times together.  Jim often visited me during his travels to states where I lived and we often met up at Tall Club events in many states.  I will miss him dearly, he was a truly great guy and friend.  I regret that I will not be able to attend the viewing but Jim knows my heart and memory of him are there.  Jim was blessed with hundreds of great friends because of the great person and friend he was to everyone and his long time relationship with Tall Clubs International. Jim's family and kids should take comfort knowing he was loved by many and will be missed
