Jane passed away quietly on June 20, 2023, with her husband David Leon Noblet by her side while in the prayerful thoughts of her many relatives and friends. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on September 10, 1947, the second of seven children of Richard Joseph and Carolyn Kern Dennis. Jane was a 1965 graduate of Richardson High School and entered the University of Texas at Austin where she met David, an Academic Scholar from Speedway, Indiana. She lived in Newman Hall in Austin and drew the short straw for a blind date with David from St. Edward’s University. They were married at St. Austin’s Catholic Church on September 26, 1966.
Jane graduated summa cum laude with a BBA in Accounting from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls in May of 1975. She was a Certified Public Accountant and ran her own highly successful business placing accountants in positions throughout the Dallas area. She was a member of several professional groups including the American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants for which she served as President of the Dallas Chapter.
Despite her busy professional duties, Jane’s first priorities were always family and friends. She loved antiquing trips, hosting lively family dinners, and any occasion when her keen sense of humor was on full display. It was particularly sad to see her sharp wit gradually diminished by Alzheimer’s disease over the last decade.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Patrick Martin Dennis, her nephew Christopher Morgan Trott and her son-in-law William Louis Dupre. She is survived by her husband David and their two daughters, Nancy Jane Roberts (Richard Roberts) and her daughter Olivia Grace Dupre and Karen Patricia Turner and her daughters Morgan Ashley Turner and Macy Jane Turner.
Jane is also survived by her sisters - Mary Henrich, Nancy Winn, Rose Trott, Lucy Voyik and Helen Dennis, and her sister-in-law Ann Dennis, as well as her many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In times before e-mail and cell phones Jane was always able to stay connected with her best friend from grade school, Nicky Sekanick Stout, who was one of Jane’s last visitors.
A rosary will be held at 10 am on Friday, June 30 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. She will be interred at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Jane would be honored with a contribution to your favorite charity in her name.
