Jason is survived by his parents, Diana Lane, Danny Phillips, and Richard Lane, as well as his sister Amanda and the rest of the Lane and Phillips families.
Jason graduated from high school in Garland in 1997. He loved the restaurant industry and spent many years working in restaurants - he had many positions at restaurants from server to manager to boss. At home, he was known as the "Grill-Meister" because of his great love of barbequing and how great he was at it. Although he occasionally sought other employment, including a rewarding stint in the construction industry, the food industry always called him back to his preferred vocation. He was well-liked by his bosses and fellow workers, and his friendships were lifelong and cherished by many. Jason had a remarkable ability to communicate with anyone, regardless of age or disposition.
He was a sports fanatic, with a passion for baseball, football, basketball, and NASCAR. One of the highlights of his life was driving a NASCAR at the Texas Motor Speedway, where he reached speeds well over 100 miles per hour. Jason was also a devoted dog lover, and his four-legged friends meant the world to him. He was a proud member of the Baptist church.
Jason was a loving, kind, and sweet person, admired by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
