

Jeanette LaVerne (Thompson) Forrest was born on the beautiful day of September 11, 1960 to respectable, Deacon LeeVorn Thompson and compassionate, Josephine Thompson in San Antonio, Texas. She entered eternal rest on October 28, 2025.
Jeanette accepted Christ at an early age at St.Stephens Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend A.C. Taylor. Jeanette received her education in the San Antonio Independent School District and graduated from L.W. Fox Tech High School in 1979. While at Tech, she was the creator, founder, and President of the Ebony Club. The Ebony Club was an organization that allowed students of color to have a voice within the student body. Jeanette was also a part of the Red Jackets at Fox Tech which was a Pep Squad.
After graduation, Jeanette moved to Dallas, TX and attended El Centro College pursuing undergraduate studies.Jeanette worked with Aetna Insurance for over 20 years. Even after retirement, she continued on by working with Texas Health and Human Services until 2019. In 2022, Jeanette embarked on a new journey by pursuing her Bachelors degree in Business Accounting at University of North Texas Dallas campus.
Jeanette met and married the love of her life, Clifford C. Forrest Sr in 2009. Jeanette and Clifford have four amazing children, Garry Lacking-Quinn Jr., Chiaryce Lacking Quinn-Battle, LaToya Forrest, Clifford “Junior” Forrest II, and Clifford “Tony” Forrest III.
Jeanette loved her granddaughters; Ashleigh, Brittany, and Kennedy. Jeanette was very excited in awaiting the arrival of her first grandson, Tatum.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, LeeVorn Thompson Sr. and Josephine Thompson; brother, LeeVorn Thompson, Jr.; sister, Cheryl Littles; daughter, LaToya Forrest, and nephews, Richard Wooten and D’Angelo Thompson.
Jeanette leaves to cherish her memory through her children, Garry of Lewisville,TX, Chiaryce (Jesse) of Forney,TX, Junior of Dallas,TX, and Tony of Houston,TX; two brothers, David W.Thompson I and Darrell Thompson; three sisters, Charline (Kenneth) Burks,Sr., Darlene (Michael) Smith, and Lori (Kenny) Thompson; four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brittany, Kennedy, and Tatum; one Uncle, Leroy Gant, one Aunt, Willie Mae Thompson, mother in law, Ina Forrest, sister in law, Sharon Forrest, numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and friends.
Jeanette’s legacy, love, kindness, and dedication will forever resonate within the hearts of those she touched.
