Jeffrey Raymond Alexander

Jeffrey Alexander was the youngest child born to Raymond and Helen Alexander in Chicago, Ill on December 8th 1960.

As a child Jeffrey attended Holy Name of Mary Catholic School where his mother served as the school secretary, Jeffrey also attended Morgan Park High School both in Chicago. Jeffrey joined the United States Army in 1980, serving in the field artillery division. Jeffrey received an honorable discharged from the Army in 1984, and made his home in Texas.

Jeffrey became a Master Mason with Sons of Solomon #410 in Dallas, Texas in 2003. He was a dedicated member serving in many positions with the latest being Worshipful Master. Jeffrey was also a dedicated member of District 12 in Dallas, Texas with his latest position being 3rd vice. Jeffrey was also a member of the Dallas Male High Degree department with his latest position being Trice Prurient Grand Master. Jeffrey served as the Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star chapter Light of Perfection #293, Jeffrey was well loved through the organization, and was always willing to work wherever he was needed never complaining about work that needed to be done.

Jeffrey volunteered with the Disabled American Veterans as a certified Annual Service Officer assisting veterans with receiving the benefits they deserved. He was very proud of his work with the D.A.V.

Jeffrey was an avid music lover, and played the drums in various bands with various genres. Jeffrey was an amateur DJ, and loved to DJ backyard parties, family reunions etc...

Jeffrey would always end his conversations with AND THERE YA GO! Which became his signature phrase, when he said that you know that he’s approved is what was being said.

Jeffrey is preceded in death by his mother Helen Alexander, his father Raymond Alexander, and his sister Rebecca Alexander.

Jeffrey leaves the following loved ones to cherish his memory: His wife Chestine, Alexandria Owens his niece (that he raised from the age of two), his children (he NEVER referred to as step children): Alonzo D. Welch ( Angela) Brandon L. Montgomery, Natasha I. Allen (Andrian) Lydonya Idom, Lonnie Idom, Teneca S. Idom, Kiara Langrum, and Kimberly Lott.

Grand children: Ladarius Doss, Marcel Gillespie, Marticia Gillespie, Aleysia T. Welch, Alonzo D. Welch, Jr., Owen N. Graham, Aidan A. Allen, Maya R. Freemont, Alvin R. Freemont, Ada Griffiths, Edri Allen, and London Jones.

A host of cousins, friends, Masonic Brothers, and Eastern Star sisters.
