Jeremie Rontrez Porchia was born on August 18, 1986, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Robert Jordan and Pherlesa Porchia Jordan. He was educated in the Mesquite Independent School District and later graduated from Mesquite High School in 2006.
He Spoke Without Words
He never walked among us, yet he went everywhere our hearts could reach. Never spoke a single word, yet taught us more than voices ever could.
He lived in stillness, but his presence filled every room. A quiet strength, a gentle soul wrapped in patience and grace.
And make no mistake— his spirit was strong. He had a commanding presence, a will all his own. It was his way or the highway, and somehow, we all understood.
As a son, he was love made visible— a bond deeper than language, a connection only the heart could understand.
As a brother, he was a sacred responsibility and a sacred gift. A love so instinctive it needed no explanation, only devotion.
As a nephew and cousin, he united us— gathered us closer, softened us, made us better without ever asking.
Though disabled and bedridden, he lifted everyone around him. Though silent, he listened—to every fear, every joy, every prayer.
He taught us patience without instruction, compassion without demand, and love without condition.
In his quiet, we learned to slow down. In his eyes, we learned to truly see.
He spoke not with sound, but with presence. Not with words, but with an impact that will never fade.
And though his body has now found rest, his spirit continues to live among us— in gentler hearts, in deeper love, in the way we care for one another because of him.
He touched everyone who knew him— family by blood, family by love.
And we will carry him—always— in every act of kindness, every moment of grace, every beat of our hearts that learned how to love because of Jeremie.
Among those left to cherish his memories: his mother, Pherlesa Porchia Jordan; his brother, Jermeil Raimon Porchia; three aunts, Luketha Colbert Sledge, Loni Porchia Johnson (Juan), and Wanda Beverly. He is also survived by a host of relatives and family friends.
