

He was born on April 12, 1954, to Otis Fuller Stratton and Betty Jean Byler. Jerry was a resident of Garland, Texas. He attended Sunset High School in Dallas and Eastfield College, building a foundation that would serve him throughout a life marked by steady commitment and quiet strength.
In his working life, Jerry served as a telecommunications technician at Nortel Network and also worked as a barber at The Razors Edge. In each role, he was known for being soft spoken and deeply dependable—someone others could count on, whether the task required careful technical skill or the simple dignity of attentive service.
In 1976, Jerry married Janice Stratton (former spouse), and together they had two children; Andrea and Laura Stratton.
Jerry found enjoyment in cooking and grilling, and he took a sincere interest in history and historical events. He also maintained a large coin collection, a pastime that reflected an appreciation for the details and stories found in everyday things.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Fuller Stratton and Betty Jean Byler. He is survived by his daughters, Andrea and Laura Stratton, and his former spouse, Janice Stratton.
Jerry will always be remembered by all those who loved him.
