Jimmy Don Carroll Sr. 75, passed from this life on Friday, June 23, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Jimmy leaves behind his wife and many close friends. Jimmy was born and raised in Oak Cliff and went to Boudstory Elementary And W.H. Adamson High School in Oak Cliff. Jimmy worked at Wyatts Grocery Store, Tom Thumb Grocery Store as the Produce Manager and Gould/GNB in Farmers Branch for 32 years until his retirement in 2000. In October of 1988, he became a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and worked the 12 steps. Jimmy was very passionate about his recovery. He also helped others with their walk to sobriety.He will be deeply missed and Loved. Survived by his wife Peggy Loyce Carroll of 34 years,son Jimmy Don Carroll Jr.,daughters Donna Harrell, Lora Darrell, Tina Campbell and his sister, Carleen Carroll-Davenport, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
