Johnnie Helen Harvey Davis, was her parents Valentine’s Day gift in 1925. She passed away January 27, 2013. She was born in Orange, Tx., grew up in Henderson, Tx,; and spent all of her adult life in the Dallas area.
Beloved mother and grandmother, Johnnie was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a quiet person who loved her home, the beauty of her garden, and the simple things of life. Always concerned about the welfare of others, Johnnie took great joy in the lives of those she loved. She was a dedicated employee of Republic National Bank for over 25 years, retiring as an Employee Benefits officer. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Davis; and her siblings, Dorothy Harvey Guice and Charles Harvey, Jr., and child, Bonnie Beth Davis.
She is survived by her children, Steven Davis and his wife Susanna, Susan Davis Ahern and her husband Gregory; her sister, Ruth Elliott; grandchildren, Lorenzo Martinez, Audrey Ahern, Colleen Ahern, and Brian Ahern; great-grandchildren, Alex and Meghan Martinez; and lifetime friend, Naomi Watson.
