Jose Alfonso Sanchez Pecina

Jose Alfonso Sanchez nació en Cerritos, San Luis Potosí el 17 de Noviembre de 1944 y fue uno de ocho hijos de María Cleofas Pesina y Domingo Sánchez. Él estudió en el colegio Benito Juárez y durante su tiempo libre, disfrutaba ayudar a su iglesia como monaguillo. Alfonso sirvió en esa capacidad durante varios años y de vez en cuando, asistía al clero en pueblos cercanos.

Conocida por su rica agricultura, Cerritos no ofrecía muchas oportunidades, por lo cual Alfonso se mudó a Monterrey a la edad de 16 años. En 1962 a la edad de 18 años, completó su servicio militar.

Años después, Alfonso se mudó a los Estados Unidos en busca de una vida mejor. Fue un hombre trabajador que disfrutaba su tiempo libre viendo fútbol en compañía de familiares y amigos. Eventualmente se estableció en Dallas, TX, y visitaba a su familia en México con frecuencia, para ayudar a sus padres a construir y reparar su casa. Mientras tanto, en Dallas, el amablemente abrió las puertas de su hogar a sus hermanos y sobrinos para ayudarlos a mejorar su vida.

Alfonso perdió su batalla contra el cáncer el 15 de Septiembre de 2021 a la edad de 76 años. A el le sobreviven su esposa Amabely Morales Sanchez, su hijo Jesus Sanchez, su hija Rebecca Sanchez y sus hermanos María del Pilar Ceballos, Rosa María Hernández, Inez Díaz y Luis Sánchez, quienes lo extrañarán profundamente. El se ha reencontrado en el cielo con sus padres y hermanos fallecidos, Rafael Sánchez, María Teresa Martínez y Virginia Saucedo.

Jose Alfonso Sanchez was born in Cerritos, San Luis Potosí on November 17, 1944 and was one of eight children born to María Cleofas Pesina and Domingo Sánchez. He studied at the Benito Juárez learning center and during his free time, enjoyed serving at his church as an altar boy. Alfonso served in that capacity for several years and from time to time, would assist the clergy in nearby towns.

Because Cerritos didn't offer many opportunities at the time, Alfonso moved to Monterrey at the age of 16. In 1962 at the age of 18, he completed his military service.

Years later, Alfonso moved to the United States in search of a better life. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed his free time by watching soccer with family and friends. He eventually settled in Dallas, TX, and would visit his family in Mexico regularly to help his parents build and repair their home. Meanwhile, in Dallas, he graciously opened up his home to family members who had recently settled in the U.S.

Alfonso lost his battle with cancer on September 15, 2021 at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife Amabely Morales Sanchez, his son Jesus Sanchez, his daughter Rebecca Sanchez and his brothers María del Pilar Ceballos, Rosa María Hernández, Inez Díaz and Luis Sánchez, who will miss him deeply. He has been reunited in heaven with his deceased parents and siblings, Rafael Sánchez, María Teresa Martínez and Virginia Saucedo.
