It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan Navarro Sorroche, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born on August 20, 1949, in Spain, his parents moved to Patagonia, Argentina, in the early 1950s, where he spent much of his life.
In Argentina, Juan met Patricia, his wife of 45 years, with whom he built a life rooted in respect and partnership. Together, they were tirelessly dedicated to their family, always putting their children first. When they finally had the opportunity to step back from their busy lives, they found joy in traveling and exploring the world together.
Juan was a devoted father to his two children, Juan Francisco and Jose Julian, who will miss him dearly. His love and care extended to his two grandchildren, who brought him many smiles with their teasing and playful moments. To Juan, his family was everything—the cornerstone of a life well-lived.
Juan earned a degree in Electrical Engineering in Argentina before pursuing his PhD in Physics in Dallas, TX. His career began in Neuquén, Argentina, in 1976 and took him to various locations, including parts of Latin America, Europe, Kuwait, and ultimately the United States, where he settled with his family in the early 1990s.
Beyond his academic and professional achievements, Juan found joy in the simple pleasures of life—savoring a good steak, a glass of red wine, and a single-malt whisky. He was also an avid Formula 1 fan and a lifelong tennis enthusiast.
Juan will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His legacy lives on in his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
He will be deeply missed, and his love and kindness will remain forever in our hearts.
