Graduated from Highland Park High School in 2000.
Graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2005.
Justin was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Cobbs Fanning, his grandmothers, Carolyn Parker Fanning and Mary Victoria Cobbs.
He is survived by his father, Barry Fanning and brother, Charlie Fanning,
grandparents Margaret and Robert Fanning,
grandfather Louis Cobbs and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Justin loved to cook and many enjoyed his culinary and grilling skills. Justin made cooking his life’s work and he was employed as the head shift cook on board an Ensco drilling rig off the coast of Louisiana.
He also had a passion for OU football and after attending 3 unsuccessful OU bowl games, his quest was fulfilled in this year’s Sugar Bowl defeating Alabama which he attended with his Dad.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his memory to Young Life at 11300 N. Central Expy, Suite 600, Dallas, TX 75243.
The Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Park Cities Baptist Church. Reception immediately following.
