It has took me this long to finally have actual words to say, I was shattered to pieces when I found out but I have so many words to say to you and many more I should have said the last time we talked you were such a loving, sweet, caring and very enthusiastic soul Kayla. Everywhere you went you inspired and truly uplifted souls the day we met back in school I knew you were different there was this vibe and true genuine energy I picked up and from there on we began to talk all the time the days that we both were not our best you always encourage me no matter where or who said anything you always made sure I was alright you are the reason I still carry so much Joy in my heart for you and every word you told me I will never forget... I have so much to say but when God allows it I will share it with you I just know that God had his hands on your life and he called you home and there is honestly no more pain no more suffering or hurt for you.. I can’t wait til the day we meet again when God allows it, but I know that God has so much for your family to the family my deepest condolences Don’t worry let God handle it and just keep the faith stay strong I know this was a tough one but never give up on God and just remember what Kayla would have loved so much Love for her family and healing God bless!!🙏🏽

My sweet Kayla Lou Lou, I have been trying to come up with the words to express how I feel, however, 2000 words wouldn't even be enough. I leave you Friday the 27th & I get a call Monday  saying you gone. Those words hit my soul so hard I didn’t know how to take it , it was too unreal. I called to see if you’d answer and say you’re okay , you’re laying in a hospital bed but I didn’t get an answer Kay so I knew it was true. This hit home , I’ve been through ALOT but never nothing like losing a little sister. I’ll never get over this Kayla, I told you I’d be back for your 20th & you’re not even here to see it. Oh where do I start.... so many fond memories of a beautiful bright bald babygirl  whom I held often when I was pregnant.  Kayla was two months older than my daughter and she was the only one who could calm Kia from kicking me in the womb.  I always told them that they fought long before they ever met 🤦🏽‍♀️  I loved their relationship and the times we all shared at my daughter‘s birthday parties.  Kayla dance just like her mother we would say LOL.  I can hear her now saying.... Nah Cousin Sherri,  I got mama beat!

Kayla what I’m going to miss most is your bubbly spirit.  Being in your presence, it was never a dull moment.  You kept us laughing and in a good mood.  Keep that same energy and shine down on us when we’re feeling empty and missing you.  Fly High Butterfly Girl 🦋

I never would of thought this moment of my cousin passing away will come so fast...at a young age.  Kayla was a sweet loving person... she loved to be around us our family. She loved to get things kicking. Kayla once told me in one of our memories that I look just like my mama in the Cartier’s glasses that I wear a lot...she filled my heart once she told me that. She liked to come get me when ever she was free to come... we spent our lives talking and smiling together... I never would of thought this moment would of come with my cousin being gone. She made sure she could get me what I wanted to make me satisfied...we both enjoyed our times together. She loved her auntie LELE (my mama) she would tell me how much of a sweet woman she was. Kayla is now with our loved ones resting in peace. 

Where do I start... Kayla you have brought so much joy and dedication in my life , even though you are the little sister you made me want more for my life. You made me get up with you at 7am everyday we had work for 6 months straight I seen you as a co worker and a manager. You pushed me to be who I am today ! You had me when nobody had me and I told you , you can have whatever you want me from me for the rest of your life . You helped me when I was down and I did the same . You couldn’t tell the difference between us the only thing was our names was spelled differently. I love you so much I hate that I can never see you again.... I know you see me hurting right now but it’s not gone be for long . All you wanted to be was a aunt to my unborn , you will forever be remembered. My child will know you like if you was still here sister. You showed me what unconditional love was and how to fight through the pain. You were by my side through the most toughest times I have ever had and you never gave up on me. I wish I can hug you one more time you will forever be my little sister. I love you!!

Kayla has always been my Kayla Lou Lou. My last time seeing her I screamed hey Kayla Lou Lou she replied can you stop calling me that 😂I simply said ok Kayla Lou Lou. I love you my Beautiful cousin you will always be my Kayla Lou Lou 

So many memories of Kayla, I don’t know where to start. When she came into our life she had hair all over her body, but not her head which granted her the nickname tete monster. She was a light that made every moment you spent with her brighter.  Her smile could pull you in and uplift your day.  Kayla was bold beautiful sophisticated and simply an amazing person to know. I am truly grateful for the amount of time she was in our life, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit I selfishly wish we had more time. God be the glory. I love you tete monster fly high my baby.

My sweet Kayla was much more than a birth and death date.  She has touched and changed many lives in the small amount time she was gifted to us.  She wasn’t afraid to push the limits. Her smile was contagious, just speaking to her you could hear it without even having to see her.  She was such a beautiful being with a giving heart.  She wished the best for everyone.  

April 17 of 2000 is when she blessed all of our lives.  She was the most beautiful bald baby who melted all of our hearts instantly with her toothless grin.  I know that I’m selfish because I feel that I didn’t get enough time with my sweet niece.  My hope was to make more memories and spend more time together.  

Baby girl, I’ll love you forever and will never stop missing you. I thank God for sharing you with us. To my sister, I will always be here for you and I love you!
