

Leon was preceded in death by his Father, Phillip Mullen, his Mother Alice Winn – Mullen and his loving Wife of 51 years Mrs. Janie Lou Winston-Mullen. A host of brothers and sisters He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother, Herman Mullen, two sons, Phillip Eugene Winston (Linda Winston preceded in death), Michael Anthony Winston (Pamela), three daughters, Barbara Ann Peirce (Sherman), Mary Jo Lavallis and Anita Gale Rowe (Kelvin) and one step-daughter, Debra Ann Winston-Freeman.
His fifteen grandchildren, Rashad Freeman, Mark Anthony Taylor, Mark Manning, Jasmine Flores (Juan),
De’Jon Ly’Dale Winston, Kendrick Bernard Greer, Stephon Jamal Greer, Jania AnChare’ Greer, Ashley Nicole Winston, Jamayah Michele Winston, Keon Winston (Jennifer), Debora Denise Winston, Mathew Brown (Toy), Joshua Brown, Tabitha Jacob (Trey)
Phillip Eugene Winston II (preceded in death), and Maisha Oni Mahummed Brinkley (preceded in Death), husband Reginald.
A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leon served his country by joining the United States Army where he committed four years of his life and was Honorably Discharged October 17, 1957 under the leadership of Captain Roy E. Shelton.
He was a member of Warren Chapel AME Church for many years until he joined Metropolitan AME Church under the stewardship of his brother, Reverend Elbert Lee Mullen in 1978 were he served as a faithful door keeper of the Lord until he could no longer serve. He Volunteered his time with The Boy Scouts of America for many years.
He worked many years with U-Haul Company, BJ Scott Construction and E. L. Mullen Remodeling and Paint Company.
