Lester Morton Cohen, age 75, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 10, 2013. He was born on May 22, 1937 in the city of Rochester, New York and moved to Dallas as a young boy. He served in the US Army from 1960 and was Honorably Discharged in 1966. His career was spent in the family business, Palmer Sales, as a salesman and business owner until he retired in 1999. He loved to laugh and tell jokes. He was happiest when spending time with his family.
Lester is survived by three daughters, Theresa Kennedy and husband Dan, Deborah Aissaoui and Sharilyn Cohen, two sisters Fidelis Sherbert and husband Bill, and Barbara Cohen. He also leaves four grandchildren, Clinton Trout, Jennifer Harvey, Justin and Amber Snell, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and cousins.
The family will receive family and friends 6 to 8 PM Monday, May 13 at Grove Hill Funeral Home in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 14 at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
