Lorenzo Guerra passed away peacefully at his home in Irving, Texas on March 25, 2013. He was 68 years old. Lorenzo was born on November 19, 1945 in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of Frank and Inacia Guerra and had 8 siblings. In August 1963, Lorenzo married the love of his life Teadora Rodriguez. In the nearly 50 years of marriage, they had 3 children; Lorenzo Guerra Jr, Bernice Guerra, and Larry Guerra. Lorenzo has 7 grandchildren; Juilann Bustillos-Crider, Adriann Guerra- Raxo, Alexis Bustillos, Gabrielle Guerra, Raymond Bustillos, Adam Guerra and Christopher Guerra and 2 great grandchildren; Isaiah Bustillos and Matthew Guerra-Razo, plus two that are due this year.
Lorenzo was a truck driver by trade. He loved to travel all over the country. Lorenzo could get you from point A to point B without getting lost. He loved the outdoors. He camped with the entire family for long weekends and fished at local lakes. One of the biggest passions he had was having family around all the time - whether watching a Mav's game or his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Lorenzo was a jack of all trades. If you needed something fixed or built, he could help and there was no tool he didn't own! He would get the job done.
Lorenzo was an amazing man that would porvide friendly advice or give you the shirt off his back.
Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home at 3235 Lombardy Ln. Dallas, TX 75220. Viewing is on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 and Rosary at 6:30. Funeral will be Friday, March 29, 2013 at 12:00. Interment will be at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
