In Loving Memory

Margaret Mary Tinker, age 84, of Carrollton, Texas, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 19, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, after a long battle with dementia.

Margaret was born on October 6, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Eugene Eichelberger and Margaret Wise. She spent her early years in Baltimore and attended Notre Dame Preparatory School, where she was a cheerleader, served as school president, and was greatly loved by her classmates and community. She then went on to attend and graduate from college at St. Mary’s in South Bend, IN.

After college, Margaret joined the Peace Corps, serving in Colombia, and later worked for IBM in California. After starting her family, Margaret devoted many years as a stay-at-home mother to her three sons, a role she cherished deeply. She later returned to the workforce and worked as a paralegal with Thompson & Knight.

On April 15, 1967, she married the love of her life, Larry Tinker, in San Francisco, California. Together they built a life centered around family, friendships, and community. Margaret was active in her Country place neighborhood community, where she enjoyed playing tennis and participating in many social clubs and gatherings.

One of Margaret’s most cherished places was Sherwood Forest, Maryland, where she spent many of her childhood summers and formed lifelong memories and friendships. She loved sharing stories of her adventures there in club and was named “Girl of the Year” during her senior year in 1957.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Tinker and her three siblings who she loved deeply. She is survived by her sons, William Tinker of Jacksonville, Texas, Jeffrey Tinker, and Daniel Tinker of Dallas, Texas, and her daughter-in-law Audrey. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Gabriella Ouer, Landon Tinker, and Corinne Tinker, as well as her sister-in-law, Kathy Eichelberger, her brother-in-law Doug Tinker and many extended family members and friends who will remember her warmth, spirit, and love of life.

A private service will be held this summer in Sherwood Forest, Maryland, a place that held a special place in Margaret’s heart.

Margaret, who went by Margee, will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, devotion to her faith and family, and the many friendships she built throughout her life.
