Although I did not see Marilyn and Dr. Potts again after Lianne passed away I stayed in touch for several years. The Potts welcomed me into their family when I was Lianne's college room-mate. I was in her wedding and visited her until her passing. I loved the family and especially Marilyn. We had many long talks while smoking cigs! Dr Potts used to meet me at the door with a frozen mug of beer. Those were the early days...before I quit drinking and smoking. I remember being awed by Leslie who could play the piano and organ at the same time while standing at the corners of both. The tragedies that befell this family were numerous...yet they persevered and remained loving to all whom they encountered.I consider it a great honor and privilege to have known and loved them. Dr. Potts, Bob and Dorothy and our boys will always remember the wonderful evening dinner you shared with us.  Your daughter and her family were truly a blessing to us when we moved into the Belton/Temple area in 1995.  Your wife, will always be in our hearts as a kind, loving mother, wife and friend to all, who had the pleasure of meeting her. She truly was a gifted artist!  Our prayers are with your family thru this difficult time,  May you know that you will once again see your loving wife in your future and be united together again!

Dear Dr Potts and family. Although I was only fortunate enough to meet you, Dr Potts and  your lovely wife Marilyn once. I was with Charles Adams and I truly enjoyed that evening with the two of you. Dear Dr Potts and Family,   Dale and I are so very sorry to hear of your loss .  We have such wonderful memories of our trip together and all you and Marilyn did for us.   She was a truly great and talented lady and fun to be around.  We are sorry that we are out of town and unable to be at her services, but our thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry to learn about your loss, and you have my deepest sympathies.

When I moved to Temple, Texas in the 1990's, I met Lisa Potts-Vivatson and we became immediate friends.  Shortly after, Lisa graciously invited us to her home for a Thanksgiving meal.  It was such a kind gesture, since my relatives lived in the Midwest, and spending the holidays alone always made me lonesome.  During that special Thanksgiving meal, I had the pleasure of meeting her parents.  They were brilliant, worldly, vivacious, entertaining, gracious, and down-to-earth.  We thoroughly enjoyed the delectable meal, and their wonderful company.  I instantly became close to her parents, even though I met them only a few times after that Thanksgiving meal.  Asking about her parents became a routine question whenever Lisa and I spoke.  I always wanted Lisa to tell them hello for me.  

Watching Lisa's children grow up has been awesome, and she shared wonderful memories about her family with me.  I would like to note that Ms. Patricia Toledano is a very special angel to the Potts family.  

During the time of losing a spectacular wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.  May your memories bring you comfort.
