

She departed this life on July 22, 2017. She received her education at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She worked for American Linen for 38 years in Shreveport, LA where she later retired in 1984. She then became a foster Grandparent for the next 20 years.
She accepted Christ at an early age, and was an usher and a faithful member of Evergreen Baptist Church for over 60 years in Shreveport, LA, until she moved to Dallas, TX in 2011.
Sister Edwards wasn’t a selfish woman; she loved her family, enjoyed taking care of others and didn’t mind sharing her love of the Lord with everyone. Sister Martha leaves to cherish her memory:
Two beautiful daughters, Irene Rowe (Who preceded her in death) and Ruthie Chism of Glenn Heights, TX, and two loving sons, Alvin (Gloria)Edwards of Red Oak, TX and Eddie “D” Robinson of Dallas, TX; Two brothers, Calvin Robinson, Sr. of Houston, TX and Leroy Robinson of Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Eddie Mae Robinson and Marie Bradley, both of Shreveport, LA. Thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, eleven great–great grandchildren, two great-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
