Mary Havlak Germany 95, passed away February 28, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. She was born June 30, 1916 in Rowena, Texas to Frank Havlak and Mary Mazur Havlak. Mary, along with her 2 sisters joined the United Startes Army during WWII. She served her country from March 16, 1943 until she was honorably discharged on June 30, 1945. Early in her life, Mary served her church, school and community by volunteering, participated in crochet for charity, even crocheted baby blankets for new moms. Mary was the oldest living member of SPJST, she never met a stranger. Mary always brought the party to everyone. Dearly loved, Mary will be greatly missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her 6 siblings, Angeline, Little Annie, Lucy, Helen, Elva, Emily, Julie and Frank. She is survived by her husband, James Germany; son, Pat Germany and wife Celeste; daughter, Gloria Evans and husband Chris; grandchildren, Valory, Nataly, Jeffrey, Arianna, Kristen and James; great grandchildren, Drew, Max, Maddy, Jake, Mary Grace and Ronin; sisters, Annie Braden and Barbara Wanorek; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Calvary HIll Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Calvary Hill North Mausoleum Chapel. Graveside with Military Honors will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas
