She is survived by her husband of 61 years Alberto, children Celina and her partner Linda, Louis and wife Teresa, Elizabeth and late husband Gerald, Edward and wife Liz, and Daniel, grandchildren Andrew, Lauren and husband Manuel, Kathryn, Stephen, and Alex, great-grandchildren Jayden, Adelyn, and Grayson. She is preceded in death by her mother, Leonor Santoscoy.
Maria del Carmen was born on July 2, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Dallas shortly thereafter. She married Alberto whom she had known since the age of 7 on September 5, 1954. She worked at Neiman Marcus before following her passion to help children and became a teacher assistant for Dallas ISD.
Visitation and Rosary will be Saturday, June 25, at 8:30 am with Funeral Mass at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and School or Community Hospice of Texas.
