Mary Adele Ruwwe

Mary Adele Ruwwe passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Dallas, Texas surrounded by her family. We will miss her positive outlook on life and her loving and generous spirit.
Dell was born on September 28, 1925 in Algoa, Texas. She was raised in Houston and attended San Jacinto High School. After graduating from the University of Texas, Dell moved to Midland where she met her loving husband of 48 years, John William Ruwwe. After John’s death, Dell moved to Dallas in 2007 to be closer to family.
Dell is survived by her four children, Nancy Rea and husband Don of Fort Worth, Kay Rembert and husband Cam of Dallas, Liz Barnett of Dallas, and John Ruwwe, Jr. and wife Lacy of Austin.
She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren; Caroline Thomas of Fort Worth, Elaine Hixon and husband Gid of Houston, Amy Rembert of Dallas, Emily Greene and husband Andrew of Mission Hills, Kansas, Sarah Barnett of Dallas, Allison Funk and her husband Kyle of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ben Barnett Jr. of Rayville, Louisiana, Claire Ruwwe of Austin, John Ruwwe III of San Marcos, Michael Ruwwe of Austin, David Ruwwe of Austin, and her great-grand children Robert Hixon and Molly Greene.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the wonderful and loving care she received during her twelve years at The Forum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The First Presbyterian Church of Midland, 800 W. Texas Ave, Midland, TX 79701.
A reception at The Forum (7831 Park Lane, Building D, Dallas, TX 75225) will be held on Sunday, June 23rd from 2-4 pm with a memorial service at The First Presbyterian Church of Midland to be determined.
