Obituary of Melanie Lynn Gibson
Melanie Lynn Pipkins Gibson, age 49, suddenly passed away on May 4, 2022 in Forney, Texas. She was born on October 8, 1972 in Dallas, Texas to the late Sam Warren Pipkins and Wendy Talbott Pipkins. Melanie and her brother, Joel Warren Pipkins, were raised in a quaint little home on Daytona Drive in Dallas and lived there from the time they were born to the beginnings of adulthood. Immediately after graduating from Bryan Adams High School in 1991, Melanie set foot into the “big-girl world” and eventually became a medical staffing recruiter which continued on for the rest of her life. She most honorably and recently had a career as a nurse recruiter with the Emerald Health Services family for more than 10 years and she loved her job with a great passion. Melanie’s true pride and joy was undoubtedly watching and supporting the lives of her daughter, Payton Earley (21) and her two nieces, Bailey Pipkins (12) and Brooklyn Pipkins (9). You always knew when Melanie walked into a room. Her infectious laugh, confident demeanor, gorgeous eyes and unapologetically loud voice are all examples of how beautifully unforgettable she was to everyone who had the pleasure in meeting or knowing her. She wore her heart on her sleeve at all times and did not have one problem in voicing her opinion. Melanie was a strong woman and a single mother who would’ve done anything to make sure her daughter, Payton, was safe and happy. If you knew Melanie, you knew all about Payton. Actually, if you simply were friends with Melanie on Facebook, you knew all about Payton. On January 28, 2001, Melanie embarked on the journey of motherhood and never looked back. Instead, she strived to perfect the ins and outs of raising a girl everyday and she definitely succeeded. She then took those experiences to become the “best aunt ever” to Bailey and Brooklyn, and although the world doesn't feel as fun without their Aunt Mel, the girls will never forget the impact Melanie had on them. As for Melanie’s faith, she had an unwavering bond with the Lord. She grew up in the church and re-established herself as a Believer later in life by learning how to further love herself and others through christian principles. And as Melanie would say, she loved Jesus, but she cussed a little! She was an inclusive person and she constantly used her faith to pray for people from all walks of life. She is loved and survived by her daughter, Payton Earley, brother, Joel Pipkins, sister in law, Regina Pipkins, nieces, Bailey and Brooklyn Pipkins, second mother and her son, Patti Gibson and Kenneth Gibson and sweet puppy, Lulu. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Grove-Hill.com for the Gibson family.
