Melvin Howard Murray Jr., 73, died peacefully at home on May 24, 2024 from complications of multiple sclerosis. He was born on April 15, 1951 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Dorthie and Melvin H. Murray. Ray E. Hinson soon became his much loved father. Melvin proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a retiree of the United States Postal Service.
Melvin is survived by his wife Nancy; sons John and Jim; sister Linda (Allan); sister-in-law Marianne (Ron); brother-in-law Sam (Leslie); niece Kelley (Stephen); nephew David (Natalie); and good buddies Marsh (Kathy); and A.D. Melvin loved God, his family, smoking briskets on his grill and watching old westerns.
A graveside service for Melvin will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, Texas 75220.
