Merle Hardy Brown was born on September 22, 1927 in Hobart, Oklahoma, and passed away on February 15, 2014 in Bedford, Texas. He served in Navy and was also a World War II veteran. Merle enjoyed fishing, and hunting. He was a devoted member of the Lakeview Christian Church. Merle is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, June Brown; two sons Ron Brown and wife Priscilla of Euless, TX, and Dwight Brown and wife Jackie of Amarillo, TX; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; brother Willie Brown, and sister Phyllis Shepherd. He was preceded in death by his mother, father; brother Floyd, and sister Christine. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Lakeview Christian Church, 3307 Bobtown Road, Garland, TX 75043.
