\Michael Curtis Parker was a loving husband, devoted father and dear friend to many during his life. Born in Dallas on September 21, 1948, he died on April 14, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
After graduating from Kemper Military School in Boonville, Missouri, Mike attended Southern Methodist University, graduating with a BBA in 1972 and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Mike was a successful businessman in the Dallas area for over 50 years. When not in Dallas or traveling with Libba to many corners of the world, Mike was usually enjoying his home in Crested Butte, Colorado skiing with Chris & Charlie, golfing, or enjoying the notorious annual July 4th Parade in the town. Mike's love for his family was always at the forefront of his agenda and he will be most remembered for his jovial personality, kindness and generosity, and love for a fun time.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Vera Parker and his sister, Jane. He is survived by his wife, Libba (Elizabeth), son Chris Parker, son Charlie and his wife Lyndsay, their children Charlie and Vera Jane, stepson Stuart Carter and wife Caitlin, stepdaughter Emily Wilson and her husband Marcus and their children Lila and Fisher.
