Mike was born in Dallas, TX on December 5, 1981 to William and Susan Horak. He was married to Isi Horak on April 16, 2014. They were married for 9 years. He is survived by his wife, Isi; son, William; mother, Susan; sister, Suzanne and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mike worked as a product manager for Santander Consumer USA for over 15 years. He was a passionate car enthusiast who lived and breathed everything automotive. From tinkering with engines to customizing cars, Mike found pure joy in building and modifying vehicles, turning them into masterpieces of speed and style. His weekends were often spent building cars and motorcycles, riding them, watching car shows and playing video games.
But there’s more to Mike than just his love for automotives. He had a deep fascination for the ocean’s wonders and dedicated a corner of his home to a stunning saltwater aquarium teeming with vibrant marine life. Watching the colorful fish gracefully swim among the coral reefs brought him a sense of tranquility and wonder, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Mike was not one to shy away from taking risks; in fact, he thrived on them. He was spontaneous and embraced the thrill of the unknown with open arms. Life was his playground and he loved having a good time, his own way. Yet, beneath his adventurous spirit laid a heart of gold. He was known for his kindness and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Despite his love for excitement and adventure, Mike exuded a calm and peaceful nature. He was a devoted family man whose greatest joy in life was spending time with his loved ones, especially his beloved wife Isi and his son, Will. From the moment Will was born, Mike’s heart swelled with love and pride, and he made it his mission to create unforgettable memories with him.
Mike cherished every moment he spent with Will, from teaching him how to ride a bike to sharing their favorite hobbies and interests, creating memories. One dream ignited Mike’s imagination-the dream of building Will’s first car together. For Mike, this wasn’t just about a car; it was about nurturing a bond that would withstand the test of time, creating memories that would last a lifetime, and laying the foundation for a future filled with endless possibilities.
