Monte Glenn Blanchett

Monte was born on February 7, 1956, in Dallas to William Blanchett and Paula Blanchett. He was raised in Mesquite and later attended University of North Texas. In 1988, he married the love of his life, Vickie LaQuita Miles. Together they built a loving family and adopted their two daughters, Angela and April, in 1991.

Monte retired from Securitas in 2018 after many years of dedicated work. Outside of his career, Monte found great joy in spending time with family and friends, attending church, and encouraging others in their faith. He was a mentor to many, helping guide others in their marriages and spiritual walks. He never turned away someone in need of a conversation, advice, or support—he was always there for anyone who needed him.

Monte was preceded in death by his father, William Blanchett; his mother, Paula Blanchett; his twin brother, Myron Blanchett; and his sister, Gayla Blanchett. He is survived by his daughters, April Shuffield (Gavin); Angela Scott Blanchett (James) and; and his beloved grandson, Noah.

Monte will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, unwavering faith, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.
