A lifelong resident, she grew up in the Little Mexico section of Dallas, met her husband, Trino, at a dance at Pike Park in 1941 and married him in 1942. During WWII, she worked in various factories before settling down to raise five children. Although little in stature, she had a big, loving heart. She was also a music lover, especially Vicente Fernandez and Patsy Cline, but she particularly loved to hear the talented children (her nieces and nephews) of her brother, Concepcion, sing to her. Besides spending time with her family, she loved to gamble, making numerous trips to Las Vegas, Shreveport and Oklahoma. We were blessed to have her in our lives for such a long time. She was loved by all her family and will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank Mary Louise and Porfirio Duron and Ralph and Yolanda Mendoza for their love and support of our mother. Thank you for always being there for her.
