Caroline - Thinking and praying for you and family during this time. Bunker was a wonderful man, so down to earth, friendly and kind to all he came in contact with. Robert and I and family enjoyed so much managing the Nelson Bunker Hunt Charolais Cattle Ranch Sales. In every element of his life,he did things well and obtained the best. He had the world's larger Registered Charolais Cattle herd. The 4-Day Charolais Sale we managed for him in 1973 that was held at his Circle T Ranch, broke all records for any registered cattle sale and still holds that record today. Bunker had a great  interest and  knowledge of the Charolais Breeds. Caroline, you were always there by his side supporting him in the Charolais business as well as in all his endeavors. Robert and I appreciate the personal relation we had with both of you. But above all the material things he amassed, the most important thing in his life was his faith in God and all the many things he did for the Kingdom. He deposited much into the storehouse in heaven and his reward shall be great.It is a sad day for all who knew and loved Bunker but Heaven did rejoice when he entered the golden gate. Our Prayers for you and family.

Bunker loved my family and we loved his. The horses brought us together, and he shared Texas with us. Prayers to all family members whom we enjoyed a working relationship. Bunker was a American icon and Co-founder of the Breeders Cup. Our family reaches out in Love and appreciation.

Bunker meant a lot to our family. He was indeed a true friend and a committed Christian. His generous support of the Jesus Film project meant that literally billions of people around the world have had a chance to hear the Christian message. Bunker in this endeavor has had an impact on our world comparable to that of Billy Graham,

I worked for Hunt Oil in 1965-66. And I had the chance to meet this very colorfull man. A true gentleman he was. I know he will be missed by those that knew him an loved him.

My prayers are with the Hunt family at this time of sorrow.

...Bunker was seated nearby at that Keeneland horse sale when I needed urgent expert advice in reference to a bid on a stallion I was about to make as my husband Kenneth, was at an ambassadors' conclave.
...Bunker came through for me in spades!
...He and I were later connected as we both bought into the '75 Kentucky Derby winner Bold Forbes' stallion syndicate.
...The day I was deciding to buy into the syndicate - my husband was mega-critical of my decision...to which I asked; if Bunker is in it - is there really anything wrong with the deal?

Bunker was such an interesting person and a consummate gentlemen.  More of us could learn from his manners and kind demeanor. We will miss him and he will be in our thoughts often as he always has been.  William Karrington
