2020, at the age of 93, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Norma was born in Emory, Texas in 1926,
to Charlie and Lorena Garrett. She went to school in Mineola, and Orange Texas, graduating
from Lutcher Stark High School in 1945. She married her sweetheart, Stanley William Roblin,
nicknamed Rob, in 1946. Rob was a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy when the two married and
Norma began her journey as a military wife and, soon after, a mother of two. She and Rob raised
their daughter, Susan, and son, Michael, together and settled back in Texas, where her heart truly
belonged.
Norma was a talented seamstress and loved to spend her time reading, watching black
and white movies, traveling, and playing Canasta with her friends. Her most cherished memories
are of the time spent with family, especially, her many grandchildren. She was a beautiful,
thoughtful, loving woman who freely gave advice, comfort, and support to others with her whole
heart. She lived a life full of love, friendship, and the most wonderful banana bread ever.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lorena Garrett, her sister Charlene, and her
brother Bill. She is reunited in Heaven with her Rob, who passed away in 1996.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Susan and her husband of 54 years, Bill, and her son
Michael and his wife Robin, along with several nieces and nephews. She was the proud Grandma
Rob to eight grandchildren (Scott, Robin, Tim, Jenny, Mark, Holly, Cambria, and Caylie),
eighteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren all of whom are still living.
Grandma Rob left a legacy of love that will be felt for generations. Funeral arrangements
to be announced
