Ofelia Lopez

Ofelia Ferrer, 87, also known as Ofelia Lopez, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Ofelia was born February 3, 1934 in Morelia, Mexico to Jesus and Monica Lopez. Ofelia was raised in Santa Maria, Mexico and married Enrique Ferrer in 1955.

The couple had eight children. She was a licensed school teacher in Santa Maria, Mexico for more than ten years. In her spare time, she enjoyed attending church, cooking, spending time with family and watering her flower bed.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a very spiritual, religious, strong, brave, happy, and wonderful person. Her greatest accomplishment was her family and faith in God.

She is preceded in death by Carmen Moreno. She is survived by her four children, eighteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren.

A visitation for Ofelia will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247, followed by a rosary from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
