Patricia Ann Gabriel

March 31, 1948 – January 26, 2024

Patricia (Pat) Gabriel was born on March 31, 1948 in Freeport, Pennsylvania. Pat was the youngest daughter of Margaret and Andrew Gooch. She grew up in their beloved home with her sister Andrea, working in her father’s grocery store on the weekends and finding her best friend Roberta in her teen years. After graduating high school, she married her husband Paul and they moved to Dallas quickly after his service in the United States Marine Corp. They had one daughter, Kristen in February, 1970. Pat and Paul successfully started their own insurance company and established their lives in Dallas as entrepreneurs.

Pat will be remembered most as a loving mother and friend. She couldn’t have been a better role model to Kristen and raised her with a gentle heart. They were not only mother and daughter but “best friends” for life. There was never one without the other. Pat dearly loved her three grandchildren Andrew, Zachary and Kensley with her whole heart. She was “Granny Pat” and shared a unique bond with each of them.

Pat fell in love with the beach in Watercolor, Florida on vacations with her family. It will always be her “home away from home”. Pat lived her life for those she loved and gave everything she had to bring happiness to them. Her life was a gift and she will be missed endlessly. “Rest in peace sweet momma and Granny”.

Pat passed away on January 26, 2024. She is survived by her husband Paul, her daughter Kristen, her son-in-law Harvey, and her grandchildren Andrew, Zack and Kensley. She is also survived by her beloved sister Andrea Norrick and nephew Scott Wassel.
