Patricia Russell "Patty Russell"

Patricia Joyce Scott Russell, Patty, was born July 28, 1950 in Dallas, Texas and left this earth suddenly on June 25, 2018. She graduated from David W. Carter high school in Dallas, Texas in 1968 and went on to business school where she learned data entry using punch cards on the earliest computers. On August 6, 1971, she married the love of her life, James (Jimmy) Russell at Wheatland United Methodist Church in Dallas.

Patty loved her family and genealogy. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star. She entered the Rainbow Girls, Oak Cliff Assembly #67, then OES, chapter 303 in Oak Cliff until that chapter closed. At the time of her death, she was a member of Grand Prairie Chapter #219, Duncanville Chapter #1014, and Lonnie L. Blake Chapter #1116.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Norman “Jimmy” Russell, parents, Elder Grant Scott and Oleta Joyce Sikes Scott, father-in-law Joseph James “Jim” Russell, mother-in-law Genevieve May Norman Russell, and wonderful step-mother-in-law, Pauline Armstrong Russell.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, James Scott and Jessa Russell; daughter and son in law, Katherine Joyce "Kathy" and Daniel Herring; grandson, Tobin Russell; granddaughter, Rylee Russell; sister and brother-in-law John and Selena Schniederjan; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Vivian Scott; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
