Our beloved Gale Patrick “Pat” Rucker, 91, passed away on May 21st, 2024, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Born to Reginald “Rex” Rucker and Thelma Cavanaugh of Bedford, VA, Pat graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Illinois and served his country in the Army as a Corporal. In 1981, Pat founded Entech Sales & Service, where he continued to serve as President until a few months before his passing, overseeing a company that employs over 450 people.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Bernetta Rucker, daughters Jennifer Rucker and Katie Rosebraugh, and grand-daughter Shelby Berzins. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including John Mattes and wife Robin, both of whom played an integral part in building Entech. An avid golfer, Pat cherished his time on the course with friends and family.
Pat’s impact on the community and the countless lives he touched will be deeply missed. His leadership, generosity, and friendship have left a lasting legacy. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Shriners Children’s Hospital, a cause close to the family’s heart, are appreciated.
