Patsy G. Newsom at the age of 91 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2015. She was born in Rice, TX, however, lived most of her life in Dallas, TX. She and her husband founded Homestead Clocks and Furnishings in 1950 first in Wynnewood Village then in 1973 moved to Knox Street off of Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie Rex Newsom after 56 years of marriage and son, Shannon Scott Newsom. She is survived by her son, Stephen Rex Newsom and his wife, Rema and two grandsons, Thomas and Preston. Services will be held at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave. Richardson, TX 75081, with family receiving guests one hour prior.
